Lauren’s Letter | In – Person
Dear Kawaga Parents,
As my own school year just finished (I teach math at Highland Park High School) and our three kids are getting close to wrapping up their year, it got me thinking about closing the chapter on this unique and challenging school year and gearing up for summer. We’ve gone through the year, alternating between remote, hybrid, and in-person learning. We’re all so ready to put down the screens and put on our Kawaga tees! Our “no-screen” rule at Kawaga has never been needed more than this summer!
We’ve faced challenges this past school year. Juggling all that you do, parents, while helping your kids stay focused, happy, and healthy. Now it’s time for your boys to go from logging into class to cheering at the top of their lungs in the Mess Hall!
We saw how much they needed camp last summer, and that was after only a couple months of Covid. Now, it’s been a full year and these boys will be ready for a full summer’s worth of fun, friendship, and new and healthy experiences on the Shores.
It’s time for your boys to get back to their home away from home. We can’t wait to give them a magical summer…and you deserve some space to relax too!
See you all soon!
Be Happy. Be Kawaga.
Lauren (Your boys’ Camp Mom)
