Camp Kawaga Blog

Monday we revved up for week 2 and the first day of clubs.  Music was a big hit as was our Advanced Lacrosse Club led by Will Jeffries from Northwoods Lacrosse.  Campers are loving it.  Trip week is in full swing.  CITs have reported in that all is well in Boundaries.  Group 1s left for their trip down the Turtle Flambeau. The Chips took off Monday afternoon for an overnighter trip to nearby Musky Lake.  They had a great time, including a Gold Rush EP where everyone was looking for gold while trying to keep the pirates (counselors) from stealing it away. Here at camp Monday night, the Sioux and Mohawk B’s played a frozen four hockey tournament while the Mohawk A’s and Group 2s had a BCS football tournament on D2.

Another beautiful day on Tuesday.  As the Chips returned from a great trip, the Sioux went out to the same area on Musky Lake.  It is hot and even a bit muggy, with it being a scorcher everyone headed to the water.  Lots of free swimmers, tubers, and skiers.  Getting wet and hydrated was lots of fun.  The Chips ended the night with Chipsanity, a Fred themed EP.  The Mohawks finished up their Final Four tournament which was rain delayed from last week.  Group 2 got a special surprise when they were ferried over to Pfian for some more swimming and sandbar fun.

Until next time….
